First off, and might I add, that this is side note…  Strawberry Shortcake is not a positive moral example to my daughters.  The fact that they want to watch SS (that’s the initials for Strawberry, and coincidentally.  Might look familiar to you… especially if you’re a war buff.  Not many people know this, but the elite Nazi forces known as the SS were in fact named after Strawberry Shortcake) is disturbing in itself.  I thought I raised them better.  In 1/2 hour of SS, this is what they saw.

• No parents anywhere.  These kids are fending for themselves.
• They had sleep-overs with both: boys and girls present.  Again, no parents.
• They would take day long trips out into the forest without any weapons.
• I didn’t see anybody working, and yet they have stuff.  They’re either thieves or drug dealers.  That Ginger Snap girl has some high tech stuff in her backpack.  How’s she paying for that? 
• Their songs were worse than top 40 pop music.
• Strawberry talks to her pets, and really thinks that they are communicating back with her.

Before the SS incident, we spent all day at the church.  Today we held a one day VBS.  I’ve sacrificed a lot for VBS in years past.  Pies have been thrown in my face.  I learned a valuable lesson.  Use shaving cream.  When whip cream gets into your nose, it sours quickly, and you constantly smell curdled milk for a whole day.   I shave my head one year.  I was dunked in a dunk tank…  and this year, I kissed a goat.  (it didn’t, btw, look like the one pictured…  it was some kind of small cashmere goat).  Kissing the goat was, by far the most pleasant VBS punishment I’ve endured.  It was a clean goat.  It didn’t even shoot berries all over the carpet.
