Psalm 147:11
Ben’s been coming to church lately and I instantly liked the guy. I’ve been wanting to get some scripture tattoos for a while… after visiting him in his shop (click here for his site), I decided that it was time to get my first. I chose Psalm 147:11 (look it up yourself already!).. I’m especially impressed with the second half of the verse.
I decided to go with the Hebrew text. If someone sees it in English they probably won’t say anything… but, if someone sees the Hebrew, they’ll ask, “What’s that?”. And I’ll say, “look it up yourself already!”.. -no, I actually won’t say that…

He is a top notched artist. You should see his paintings. He specializes in Japanese type art

Cool! I’m terrified of needles, so I’ll never have a tattoo. My sister has one, though. She’s not as whiny as I am.

Okay, like coming from the roots of a cultish like church, ( in which I am no longer in the presence of), ( PTL!), I had a Pastor that always said having tattoo deflied the body and was Sin.
But blowing your nose wrong was a sin in his book too.
He also condemned yard sales . WERID, huh?
Anyway, the tatoo rocks and I will send it to all my Jewish friends!
MAZAL TOV Pastor Chad!

No.. don’t send it to them.. I’m afraid they’ll tell me it’s wrong. I took it out of the Hebrew Lexicon I use the most in my word studies, and it should be reliable… but then again.. there is that doubt. I should’ve had Rabbi Josh look at it first. I’m planning on somehow doing the entire chapter -Psalm 138 on my other arm… wrapping all the way around the arm and covering more flesh. I’ll have Josh look that over before I commit.
The O.T. reference of “marring the flesh” was in direct reference to a practice which entailed sacrificing parts of your own skin/flesh as a means of worship to a god.
My Bible tells me to “not” sacrifice parts of myself… but rather, to give my entire self as a sacrifice unto God. I don’t know what that has to do with my tattoo, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Blowing your nose at a yard sale is definitely of the devil.

Thanks for the sin clarification. I hate not knowing what man has added to the “Top Ten” that makes life so complicated!
By the way, saying “God Bless You” after one sneezes means the individual who sneezed full of the devil and blowing him out of his nose.
Chad, what if you put something really wrong on your arm? I hope it’s one of those that will come off in a week or two. Especially if it’s totally wrong. I pray you just got it on your arm with a big old Sharpie Marker. I hope the whole thing is staged.
God Bless you Chad! I have to say you are one of a kind, and your arm is too! When Yom Kipper comes along you better be on your knee’s!
Shabbot Shalom!

My name is Sarah and I work for a full time traveling drama ministry in Cleveland TN. You have no idea who I am, so I hope this isn’t very creepy. I was googling what other people thought of The Shack and Rob Bell and stumbled onto your blog. I was so intrigued by what I read that I read a lot of your other stuff too (kudos on that Strawberry Shortcake thing, ha ha)! Thank you for being so candid with what you believe and trying to bring a sense of balance to things. I like balance. It’s a great thing. Also something I feel many of us are lacking. I think I’ll keep trying to read your stuff!

Also, awesome tat, I love meeting pastors with tattoos! Our associate pastor owns his own tattoo shop and currently holds the record for longest tattoo session!
